Motivation for the future

Long ago people thought that it was money that motivated people to do more work, they also thought due to " experts" saying that light will effect the output of the workers, they put more lighting in factories in order to improve their output. But after they hired workers and paid more attention to their needs and to them personally, they found out it wasn't money or lights that effected their output but rather the attention you gave them.

Dell motivates their employees by ensuring there is a positive working environment, fostering teamwork, providing learning and growth opportunities. To ensure that there is a positive working environment, Dell wants you to report any internal conflicts or office conflicts that is creating an unpleasant workplace , because you are the only one that can fix it. The fact that the employee listened and acted will be a sign that you want to make the workplace a positive workplace.Making sure that you have a mission statement ant that the employees at dell understand what their roles are is important to the overall success of Dell. When the employees are bored with their job at Dell, it's easy to see it on their faces. You can notice it and so do the customers. When Dell first interview their employees for the job, dell takes time to ask about their area of interest. In order to make them less likely to get bored on the job

Organizational structure of dell

The organizational structure can be split into 3 different levels hierarchies.  The CEO would be at the top since he manages all the aspect of the company, since he’s a the top of the hierarchy he has the most control of the entire company. To ease the work of the CEO they have directors/managers to help do the jobs of the CEO for them, and have them overlook the employees , but the CEO is still responsible in making sure the task given is done successfully. As seen from the organizational chart the departments in the middle hierarchy level are split in to more specialized departments, for example CFO, Dell service .etc.  The workers in the lower hierarchy level are usually not the decision makers instead are supposed to just follow orders issued from the workers from the higher hierarchy level as they have less authority.

Leadership skills of the C.E.O

C.E.O of Dell

Leaders are they born or made?

Many people say that leaders were born with leadership qualities therefore they were made to be leaders, but other people might say that leaders are shaped into leadership as they progress into life. From my personal opinion i would say that leaders can be born leaders but they need to be shaped into a better leader, because no one was born to be the perfect leader you would have to be a mix of both born and made to be a leader.

Leadership skills of the C.E.O

He demonstrated business acumen with keenness in understanding and solving any business situation that would  result in a positive outcome. Michael saw that people sold computers at an expensive price, but the prices for the individual components itself were cheap. Thanks to Michael we can now buy computers at an affordable price. His second leadership skill is  his communication and persuasive ability.  At the age of 12 he created an auction service for stamps, where he got a few people to give their stamps to him, in doing so he gained $2,000 from this.

Leadership style of Michael
Dell's leadership style would be that he uses transformational  leadership, this means that he has a strong desire to break up different laws in order to change the situation, but in the end he creates something new that benefits others.
